P.AN.ETAI.K S.A. undertook the preparation of the project titled “REGIONAL STRATEGY AND OPERATIONAL PLAN FOR THE SOCIAL ECONOMY IN THE REGION OF CRETE.” The company’s staff, in collaboration with a Consulting Firm, proceeded with the study which aims to highlight the Region of Crete as a key factor in the implementation of social entrepreneurship, emphasizing its importance as a main development pillar during the economic crisis, aiming to serve as a response to the problems of unemployment and social exclusion.

The social economy is a broad field addressed to citizens who wish to engage in productive activities as well as in services and products that take the Region of Crete as their point of reference. The purpose of the project lies

in the identification, evaluation, and utilization of modern and innovative financial tools at national, European, and international level

in the manner and means of substantial support and strengthening of social entrepreneurship and the identification, on the one hand, of structural problems and the finding of realistic and effective solutions, and on the other hand, in the utilization of points of advantage on a horizontal and vertical level in terms of sustainability and prospects

in the increase of employment and social inclusion in Crete through an innovative and applicable operational action plan, which will support the prospect of entrepreneurship and combine surplus generation with social impact.
