The Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe and the European Institute of Cultural Routes, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Tourism, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Chania, the Chania Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Cultural Route “Historic Cafés Route,” are pleased to announce that the 11th Annual Advisory Forum on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe will take place on October 5–7, 2022 in Chania.
The coordinating body of the organizers is the Regional Development Company of Crete S.A.

This year’s Forum theme is: “Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe: Safeguarding European Values, Cultural Heritage and Dialogue.”
The Chania 2022 Forum will provide an opportunity to highlight the methodology and practices of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe and their growing importance in promoting the shared European cultural heritage and intercultural dialogue, through the lens of sustainable local development.

The Forum program includes discussion panels, thematic and special sessions, as well as the certification award ceremony for the new Cultural Routes of the Programme by the Council of Europe.

Participation in the Forum is by invitation only. After the event concludes, related outcomes will be published on this website.
